I've been doing lots of bread baking but haven't got the BBA book. I'm working my way through Dan Lepard's Handmade loaf - because I wanted to start with sourdough :) its great fun. You are right that you need to be around for most of the day one time I went out and the loaves were escaping the tins when I returned - ooops. You can always slice it up and freeze it in a plastic bag. Then just take a couple of slices out, and they will thaw out in a couple of minutes for a great sandwich. Make mini-loaves and get to know your neighbors! They will absolutely LOVE you and your bread! Congratulations on making your first BBA bread!
