Thanks Cristie, it’s actually really simple to pipe a different shape. I had been worried before had because I am not even very good at piping perfect circles (they usually look a bit flat at one end! But it turns out they are quite forgiving

@Lisa they were yummy, while we ate some with vanilla buttercream and raspberry jam, the others we just ate plain. I love how macarons are that lovely mix of crunch and chewy.

If your mac-hearts got feet, they are true mac-a-valentines Lauren. I have a tough time getting my round macarons to develop feet. Love the ease with which your hearts grew them! Thanks for joing us at MacTweets!
